Hey, I’m actually on top of it enough to post on the day of, instead of on the bus two days later! Be proud of me! As I mentioned in my last post (about Seville) we left pretty early this morning and made our way to Córdoba for a quick tour of the Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba, which is essentially a giant mosque that now functions as a cathedral. This place was shockingly beautiful. To get to the cathedral, we had to pass over another Game of Thrones filming location, the Roman bridge. I keep wondering how this country could get more beautiful, and keep having Spain reply “hold my beer”. After our tour of the cathedral, we had a quick lunch before heading for Granada. I had calamari sandwiches with avocado mayo, and they were seriously amazing (I know, you’re probably sick of me saying that, but I can’t help it!)
The Roman bridge, which was used as the “long bridge of Volantis”
Perhaps the most iconic arches of Cordoba
I love miniature models of buildings
Just a few of the chalices they had on display
Honestly in awe of these
They had a “selfie station” where you could pose with a chalice
My lunch, calamari sandwiches with bread that was dyed with squid ink
We arrived in Granada around 5pm with temperatures right around 104. It is
hot here. Once we settled our things into our tiny little hostel, we headed out to get some churros with chocolate as a group. Just walking through the streets of this city, I’m shocked by how beautiful it is (seriously, why am I still surprised?) There’s strong Moorish influence that you can see all over this city, especially in the Morroccan quarter that we wandered through tonight. After getting churros, my friends Sarah, Jess, and Alyssa came with me to do a little bit of shopping. It was utterly chaotic, so we didn’t last very long. On our way back, we stopped at a little kebab shop for a quick supper. And now, we’re off to bed, as tomorrow is a
very busy day.
I’m not even entirely sure what this building is, but it was beauitufl!
The fountain in the square right by the churro place!
Not exactly what I was expecting, but so so so delicious
Yes, it’s a cup full of melted chocolate to dip the churros in.
Stay tuned for more updates,
xoxo, second sister suzie

Well done – Even two days after on the bus is pretty impressive I have to say… Look at me, I went there in April and still haven’t posted everything. Too busy travelling and working and what not haha 😀
