Travel Series: European Summer

Today is the dayyyyy! I’m currently sitting in the airport in Sioux Falls, waiting to board the first of three flights that will have me landing in Lisbon, Portugal. For those of you that weren’t aware, I am going on a 35-day trip across Europe, mostly along the Mediterranean. I’ve been abroad before (see: Travel Series: Italy) and I’ve flown alone before, but I’ve never flown abroad alone before, so this should be a fun experience. The cover photo for this post is my general itinerary, but I’m hopefully going to have my shit together enough to actually blog the entire trip. So, if you’re interested, keep an eye out for that! I can’t wait to see what advenures this trip has in store!

A little bit more about the trip itself, it is with a company called EF Ultimate Break. They have tons of trips for people 18-29 years old. The trips are with a group, and you are able to do a trip with a group of people that you know, but I personally am not doing that. So, I’m going alone in the sense that I don’t know anyone (yet), but I’m still with a group, so I’m not at all worried about safety or anything of that sort. You can see all of EF’s trips here.

I’ve had this trip planned for a little over a year now, so it doesn’t quite seem real that it’s actually happening. I can’t wait to see more of the world, taste all the amazing food (and wine!), and spend as much time on the beautiful Mediterranean beaches as possible.

Like I said, I’m going to try and write a little update on this travel series each day, but I also know that I am forgetful. So, keep an eye out for those upcoming posts, I’ll do my best to keep the updates coming! Also, if anyone has any song or movie recommendations for me to download on the upcoming 16-ish hours of travelling, please let me know!

Stay tuned for more updates,

xoxo, second sister suzie
