In Transit to Tulane

Well, after a wonderful month home with my family, it’s finally time to head back to my other home. I’m writing this while sitting in the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport, waiting to board my flight. Security took all of 5 minutes to get through, so I’ve got a little while to wait. It’s been amazing to be back in Minnesota catching up with old friends, but let’s face it, compared to New Orleans, Truman is boring. I’m ready for a little more excitement than my tiny town can offer, and boy have I missed my suitemates. It’s gonna be a long week getting back into the groove of everything (almost 20 hours of work plus starting classes? oh man), but to be totally honest, I’m excited for all of it.

While being home, I got to spend a huge amount of time with my little sisters, which was amazing. They just turned 13, and I feel like I’m missing them grow up. Along with all of this time together, I completely screwed up my sleeping schedule. Most nights I didn’t even see my bed until after 2 am, and that left me sleeping well into the afternoon. It’ll be interesting to try and fix that mess. I don’t really know why I slept so much while being home, because most days I did absolutely nothing. Sure, I blogged a little, read a couple books, watched all but one episode of Black Mirror, etc. but I didn’t do anything strenuous to my mind or body. There’s no exaggeration when I say I might not be able to handle this first week of classes.

I’ll be doing my best, but keep an eye on the blog to make sure I pull through 🙂 Also, be on the lookout for a new Crescent article, hopefully going up soon!

Stay tuned for more updates!

xoxo, second sister suzie
